it’s all about ending breast cancer

About Us
Michelle and Steph met during the 2006 Boston 3Day. Steph was one of Michelle's crew captains on the Camp Logistics team. They set up and took down more tables and chairs than you could ever imagine. They've been tent mates ever since. Read a little bit more about them below.

In 2002 my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. In 2005, she lost her battle. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss her dearly. I walk and crew in loving memory of my mother. Unfortunately she is not the only one. I also walk in memory, support, and honor of so many other dear friends that this disease has affected.
I walked in my first Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3 Day in 2005. I knew that I had participated in something special and that I would be coming back for more. It was in 2006 that I had met my Crew Captains Steph and Marge. It wasn’t until my second year that I truly realized how special an event the 3 day really was. It was a family, and I was making lifelong friendships. #TMFL

In 2000, my mother said the words you hope you never have to hear, "I have breast cancer." 13 years after her diagnosis my mother was officially discharged from her cancer doctor. We are lucky that we still have mom, and there isn't a day that I forget that.
In 2002, I participated in my first Breast Cancer 3Day. It was a life changing event. Since then, I've both walked and crewed in Boston and Tampa. I've recruited friends and family to join me. I've made lifelong friends on the event.
I wish I could say that my mother is the only person I know who has had breast cancer. Unfortunately, she is one of many. I will keep participating in these events until we live in a world without breast cancer. This year, I hope to walk in Michigan.
